Community table setting. Azar (my pup) providing support in his own way :)
Ritual altar table with community additions. The red thread was tied around each attendee's' wrist in a ritual way. It symbolized connection to the first mother, the divine mother, and our common mother.
Potato and leek soup to fortify attendees while they did intense feminine shadow work
This specific ritual's theme
As we go into spring, we are talking about creation. Naturally, we must talk about our mothers, our mothering instinct, and our internal mother.
It doesn't matter how idyllic or abusive, how present or completely absent your mother was in your life. It doesn't matter how long it's been since you've seen your mother. Or whether your mother is/isn't a biological one. The specifics of your situation are not as relevant as the point of this ritual - which is to reveal all the ways in which our earliest feminine instincts were influenced by the primary feminine examples in our lives.
It will help us navigate the world more through our authenticity vs our conditioning.
Outline of this ritual:
opening ceremony
journaling about the mother archetype, having a mother, being a mother, not being a mother, & abortion
exploring different mother archetypes and how they relate to each of us
ovary energy work
establishing a well internal mother meditation
tying the red thread
closing ceremony
eat and celebrate!
